BMNA Craft Fair | Taste of Anwatin
December 7, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Eat a meal prepared by students and staff of foods from around the world. Food is sold a la carte with tickets, food such as tamales, sambusas, tacos, egg rolls, spring rolls, Bahamian macaroni and cheese, and lots of desserts!
Support the Empty Bowls project by purchasing a ceramic bowl made by a student. Empty Bowls is an international grassroots effort to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.
Make a sandwich. We provide the supplies and directions and you help us assemble sandwiches to be distributed by Allan Law, a former teacher and founder of the Minneapolis Recreation Department. Allan spends overnights delivering sandwiches around town to people living on the street.
Shop the Anwatin Craft Fair. Vendors include students and artists from the neighborhood.
Sell your crafty items at the Craft Fair by renting a table with us or contacting coordinator@bmna.org
Listen to a great band concert performed by the 6th, 7th, 8th grade students and the combined grades jazz band from 7-8:30 pm
There is something for everyone to enjoy!
Profits from food sales and the Empty Bowls benefit local food shelves and the Red Cross Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief effort
Sponsored by Anwatin Middle School, Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association, and RBC.
