A Year Of Giving-Highlight Video
It was a generous year of giving in Bryn Mawr in 2024. Our neighbors supported Red Cross Blood drives, NorthPoint Food Shelf and an epic election day bake sale with all proceeds supporting the students at Bryn Mawr Elementary.
The Bryn Mawr Neighborhood Association was the host of 3 Red Cross Blood drives. Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church was the host of 2 blood drives. The BMNA and the church helped each other with volunteer gaps to ensure each blood drive was a success. It was a beautiful collaboration that we are planning to continue in 2025.
In July, neighbors donated 126 food items and $134 to NorthPoint Food Shelf. We had a donation bin for food items at the Ice Cream Social and Bryn Mawr Market designated their change jar to support NorthPoint.
On November 5th, the BMNA and Bryn Mawr Elementary PTA co-hosted an election day bake sale. This was a record breaking bake sale raising over $2400 for the PTA thanks to Bryn Mawr neighbors!
In December, mittens, gloves, hats, earmuffs, and headbands were collected at the Bryn Mawr Market and delivered to the elementary school. The BMNA Schools Committee distributed 500 Toys for Tots to 100 families.
Neighbors have generously donated to support BMNA programs, contractors, and communications. Our Give to the Max campaign in November raised $610. Your donations matter. Individual donations make up nearly one third of our budget. Your donation to the BMNA helps us build community by bringing neighbors together at events, keeping us connected and engaged. Our contracted staff also keep you informed with our communications via our website, The Bugle, email, Facebook, and Instagram. We are revamping our website to make it more easy to use and it will launch in early 2025. . We would like to reach as many households as possible, no matter the amount. You can donate at www.bmna.org or contact coordinator@bmna.org 612.234.7819 to see if you’ve already contributed in 2024.
As we reflect on the past year and the work we have done, we are more proud than ever to be a part of this community.
