Hello Neighbors and Friends!
Please join Friends of Bassett Creek for our first habitat restoration event of the season in Bassett’s Creek Park! We are excited to now have a restoration plan that will guide our work to remove invasive species such as buckthorn and make way for native plants. Our goal for this event is to strip all new growth from buckthorn that has been previously cut.
All are welcome. Family Friendly. No experience is needed. Work suitable for ALL ages.
Snacks and beverages provided at the event.
Join us afterwards at Utepils to celebrate and enjoy a free beer!
(non-alcoholic beverages also available)
WHERE: Meet at the public entrance on Chestnut Avenue near the playground
BRING: Sturdy shoes and gloves. Hand pruners if you have them.
